Sunstop 30: A Complete Protection for Sensitive Skin

No matter how weird it sounds, my skin reacts very badly if I use sunscreen, any regular store-bought sunscreen. So, till last year, I used no sunscreen at all; only last year I tried Lotus Herbals Safe Sun Sunscreen Gel SPF 20 which did not create any problem for my skin. But somehow I felt that my skin was still vulnerable. So, one day I was talking to my sister and while speaking about how important sunscreen is, she told me that my niece had her doctor prescribed a medicated sunscreen. So, I thought I might give that one a try as if a product is prescribed to a 4 year old kid, it must be less harmful. Last month I bought Sunstop 30 and since then I use it daily, and today I am going to review this sunscreen.

Product Description: New SUNSTOP with Sun Protection Factor 30 is a UVA/UVB sunscreen for those leading an active lifestyle or spending extended time outside. New SUNSTOP SPF 30 is the first sunscreen to offer the extraordinary benefits of the most advanced form of NanoFINE Zinc Oxide that offers additional protection from the UVA/UVB rays.

  • Revitalizes the appearance of sun exposed skin.
  • No skin whitening, no chalky look.
  • Protection from sunburn.
Price & Quantity: Rs. 260 for 50g.

Ingredients: Octinoxate USP, Processed Zinc Oxide.

Usage Direction: Apply evenly and literally on skin before sun exposure. Reapply if necessary, after swimming or exercise. Regular, long term use helps prevent premature aging, wrinkling and skin cancer due to overexposure to the sun.

Shelf Life: 2 years.

My Experience with Sunstop 30:

The cream is medium thick cream which spreads nicely on to the skin, and a small amount does the job correctly. The packaging is quite useful as it has flip top cap, and tube size is even great for keeping in travel bag.

First thing I notice after using it is, it does not make my skin look either chalky or greasy. I use my compact powders after applying this sunscreen and it stays put for the whole day. Since I am a Hyderabadi now, I have also mastered the art of wrapping scarf on my head covering my whole face. So, this whole combination keeps my skin protected and I see no tanning at all.
Also, the most relieving fact for me about this sunscreen is that it perfectly suits my combination sensitive skin, no irritation or rashes or allergies have occurred. So, basically this sunscreen has become my HG for life!

The Good Points:

  • Mild, skin-friendly.
  • Does not cause any irritation.
  • Doesn't look chalky or greasy.
  • Spreads on skin nicely.
  • A small amount does the job.
  • Travel-friendly.
  • Stays put well if applied powder over it.
  • Sweat proof.

The Not-so-Good Points:
  • For me, none. But those who want super protection (SPF 50) might skip this.

Rating: 4.9/5.

My Recommendation: If you are having sensitive skin or allergy-prone skin, I would definitely recommend you to use this sunscreen. This product is very effective and protects my skin well without making it look like white washed or oil-mill. Do try this if you are not happy with your current sunscreen.

  1. Sorry to say but it contains Octinoxate which is the most dangerous chemical. Im looking for a sunscreen with just zinc oxide it's very safe

  2. A good whitening cream may be designed to lessen the appearance of dark pigmentation with the aid of inhibiting the production of melanin in trouble areas.

Thank you for visiting.... Have a great time!!
