RESULTS of 1 Week Home Remedy Skin Treatment Challenge!

Has it been 1 week yet? Yes! Okay, I was really excited to try this 1 Week Home Remedy Skin Treatment Challenge and to see what are the results. I am going to be very honest about this challenge, that in this 1 week, I have missed 2 days of treatment as I was totally busy with other things. But, I kind of coped up with this finally. Now, without wasting more of your precious time, I am coming to the vital parts of this challenge.

What I Did?

I used face pack every day before bath and one scrub twice a week and one steaming once a week. I am here adding my recipes for this treatment, but choose your treatment ingredients according to your skin type.

Scrub: This scrub can be used twice a week. Take one tablespoon of honey and two teaspoon of sugar and mix it. Scrub your face with this for 15 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water. Before using the face pack, use this scrub.

Steam: Once a week, use a face steam. Add one green tea bag in boiling water, and boil for 5 minutes and keep it aside. Sit in front of the bowl and put your face over it and cover it with a towel. Take the steam for 30 seconds, take a break and then again take the steam. Keeping your face in the steam for longer may be harmful. So, be careful of the time limit. Do this for maximum 15 minutes and then pat dry your skin and apply your favorite moisturizer.

Skin-clearing Face Pack: 1 tea-spoon of grated potato, 2 tablespoons of milk, half a tablespoon of gram-flour, one pinch turmeric, and finally one teaspoon lemon juice and few drops of honey; mix all in a clean bowl. While grating the potato, add the remaining juice of it also as it does great for your skin or you can grind the potato with milk to get a smooth paste. Apply the mixed pack on the desired area and leave it for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, apply a bit of water to your face and gently scrub it away after 2 minutes.

If you have oily skin, add curd instead of milk. Use this pack 5 days a week, and 2 days use grated garlic instead of potato. Garlic treats the pimples and potatoes help in clearing the acne and acne-scars.

The Results:

This is my face when I started this treatment:

And, this is after 1 week:

The Changes I Have Seen:

The scars are next to extinct, the pimples are almost gone. My face looks clearer and tan-free than ever. The most irritating problem in my face was the dark patch around my mount, which is also clearing. I feel smooth and soft skin which is great!!!

The One Week Pictures:

Facts:
  • These pictures are taken under bright day light, no filter or editing done. I used kajal and maybe some lip balm in some of these pictures, other wise there are no makeup at all!
  • This treatment is for clearing acne, acne scars, tan or marks.
  • Doing this treatment for longer time and continuously will give you a bright clear smooth skin.
  • It is not mandatory to do this treatment for 1 week only, you can do this as long as your need or preference.
  • You can change the ingredients as per your skin, if your skin is not suitable for particular ingredient, you can replace it. But make sure you use ingredients like honey, curd or lemon juice which will help in clearing skin.
  • Use this treatment at regular basis, if not using daily, at least use it 3-4 times a week. You have to be constant, if you see your face is clearing up, you should not leave treating your skin.
  • Keep a healthy diet with protein and fiber in it. Drink lukewarm water with few drops of honey every morning to keep your system clean.
  • Add curd to your diet and have it every day.
  • Eat seasonal fruits to keep your skin and hair healthy from inside.
So, this was my experiment which went successful and I am going to post another update after 1 week just to show how this treatment helps int he long run.
Thanks a lot and I hope this helps you.

How To Deal With Allergies: The Fastest & Natural Way

Allergies can be caused due to various reason, it can be food allergies, sun allergies etc. Most of the time, I get sun allergies which appears as very small rashes, (like prickly heat) and a few pink acne types among them, which caused bit of pain. Since I have hyper-sensitive skin, I get this allergies almost every summer, sometimes 2-3 times in a season. So, I practically have tries almost every thing possible, dermatologist, homeopathy and what not. But, I have experimented and found the best solution for this horrible situation!

What Do I Do?

I stop using any skin care product on the effected area for at least 3-4 days. I only use a mild face wash. I prepare a face pack and apply it as many time as I can. And then wash off with the same face wash.

Healing Face Pack:

Take two teaspoons of oats (unflavored) and soak it in fresh curd for about 15 minutes. If you want, you can add honey to it, but that is totally optional. Once the oats are soaked nicely, apply the pack on the effected area neatly and leave for at least 20 minutes.

Notes:

What this pack does is it cools the skin, and its sensations. Curd itself is very soothing and mixed with oats, it provides a very soothing and cool effect for the skin. Oats have this working agents in it which helps in healing the allergies sooner. So, basically the more you apply the pack, the more benefit you will get. I try to use this pack 4 times a day if at home, this way, the next morning I see allergy-free skin!

Now, to work it even better, you can use aloe vera gel direct from the leaf once you wash off this pack. I use it very often, as my skin is hyper-sensitive, I sometimes get itching sensation while using aloe vera gel. Aloe vera gel is also very helpful in soothing the skin and healing the allergies. After washing off the pack, pat dry your skin and apply the aloe vera gel gently massaging it on the skin and leave it. i would not recommend to use store-brought aloe vera gel at the time when you have allergies or rashes.

This face pack can also be used for severe acne treatment, and if added honey to it, this pack will be helpful in removing tan from skin also. So, multi-talented this face pack is my holy-grail and life saver during allergy times. I once recommended one of my college friend to use this pack twice a day for her acne and scar problems, she was extremely benefited with this. You also have to keep in mind that not always everything works for everyone.

Benefits of This Pack:

  • Soothing.
  • Healing.
  • Clearing tan.
  • Reducing acne attack.
  • All natural.
  • Helps get a clearer skin with regular use.

So, if you are having problems like allergies or acne or rashes, do try this face pack and do not forget to notify me if it helped you or not. If you have any queries you can ask me in the comments or mail me at- inbm.arshi@gmail.com.

Revlon Color Burst Lipcolor Ruby Review, Pictures & LOTDs:

There was a time when I used to wear MAC Ruby Woo every single time I get ready, I was just obsessed and totally maniac about that lipstick. Then, after sometime, I started using other lipsticks also, but somehow the ruby red shade did not completely wiped off from my red-lipstick-maniac little brain. So, I was browsing through the makeup counters in Hyderabad Central and the Revlon counter got my attention. I wanted to try the matte lip crayons, but my favorite colors i.e. red and fuchsia was not in stock. So, I asked which lipstick was almost near to what I was wearing (Ruby Woo of course!) and the lady showed me Revlon Color Burst Lipcolor Ruby. And, I did not waste my time to buy it.

Product Description (As written on the Revlon Official site):
  • Unique Elasticolor technology hugs lips with an explosion of color that feels virtually weightless.
  • Innovative pigments provide immediate release of rich color on lips in just one swipe.
  • Contains film-forming polymers for longer wear and skin conditioning properties.
  • Moisturizers and anti-oxidants, including Sweet Almond Oil, improving lip texture.
  • Beautiful packaging with premium bullet lipstick case and embossed Revlon logo on bullet.
Price & Quantity: Rs. 630 for 3.7 g.

Shelf Life: 3 years.

Shade: Ruby 85.

My Review on Revlon Color Burst Lipcolor Ruby:

As I told already how much I am in love with the shade, there might be no explanation needed; yet, this lipstick is in shade of cherry red color with glossy finish which turns out as a lovely classic retro Hollywood red lipstick shade (keeping Audrey Hepburn in mind).

The next thing I noticed amazing was it's pigmentation. This lipstick covers up the skin very nicely without leaving a peep-hole. As the brand claims that one swipe gives rich color, is quite true. No more than two to three swipes does the job very profoundly.

Other than the lovely shade and it's beautiful pigmentation, this lipstick has a classy gorgeous look. The packaging is quite cute, but the only problem is, since the bullet is very soft butter-like, it broke! Yes, I broke it while applying it. The super soft and smooth butter bullet might be extremely good in it's field but it has a downside too.

This lipstick is for me a complete lipstick as it never dries up my lips, it keeps my lips well-moisturized through out the time and I never experience any chapped or cracked lips. The butter like consistency works like magic for my dry lips. It also stays on my lips for a long time without any crease or fading if not having food. Since it has very rich pigmentation, after removing this lipstick, it leaves a bit of red tint which ultimately goes off if used a makeup remover.

So, overall, I liked this lipstick and this is a very classy, decent glossy red lipstick which can be worn with any type of attire as long as used for party makeup look.

The Good Points:

  • Great pigmentation.
  • Glossy finish.
  • Pure cherry red shade.
  • Smooth and soft butter like consistency, glides on lips swiftly.
  • Beautiful packaging.
  • Creamy rich consistency which gives long-lasting moisturizing effect for my dry lips.
  • Easily available.
  • Reasonable price tag.

The Not-so-Good Points:
There is none for me.

LOTDs:

Rating: 4.9/5. (Only because it broke!:( )

Recommendation: I would recommend this lipstick with all my heart. But, if you are new to wearing bold red lipstick, then this shade is not going to work. Red-lip lovers will surely love this shade. The product is definitely now in my favorite's list.

1 Week Home Remedy Skin Treatment Challenge!

If the title got you interested, then welcome to my blog! No, the title is not at all misleading. I am going to do a 1 week skin treatment challenge with pictures. Where did this idea come from? Few days ago, I got an email with a query 'I have pimple and marks, I want to remove it with home treatment. My marriage is near, please help.' The message was short and to the point, and yet it got my attention. Marriage is a very big deal for girls all around the world. So, every girl wants to be a perfect bride with perfect skin and hair. And I thought, even though it was not marked as 'SOS', it sure was.

Now, recently, I do not know what is happening to my body or skin or hair. I am having major pimple-season going on, on the other hand, there's extreme fall out form hair. So, it was time to take a firm step for me. And receiving that email made me even more enthusiastic. So, I decided to experiment a new sets of skin treatments, all natural to deal with various skin problems.

No, I did not invent anything, I am just trying a few things that I have tried before also but this time I am doing it consistently and tracking my records. Each day, I will do the treatments and click a picture of mine, without filter, without editing, just under bright sunlight; so that you will see the difference.

What I am Going To Do?

I am trying scrub, face pack and toner which are all going to be natural and right from my kitchen. The recipes will be revealed after completing the whole challenge. The only reason, I am keeping them undercover is even though I have tried them in the past, I have never done it all together and regularly. So, if any problem appears, I might need to make some changes.

When Will I Reveal The Results?

I will update the final result with all the pictures and details on the 8th day.

My Skin Type:

I have combination skin. My t-zone is oily and cheeks are normal and the area around my mouth is dry. Yeah, weird! So, mostly, it is near normal to oily skin. So, the treatments I will try is going to be for this skin type only, but I will definitely mention the substitutes for the other skin types.

No makeup, no editing!! Oops..... my undone eyebrows!!! :(

My Major Problems:

As you can see in the pictures, I have big pimples and also dark scars from previous pimples. I have slight dark circle around my eyes, which is not big issue right now. I also have dark patch around my mouth.

Disclaimer:

Please keep in mind that I am not forcing anyone or challenging anyone to do whatever I am doing. It is purely a challenge to myself and the answer to the reader's query. So, if you try it and not get results, please don't hate me! :P These are all natural treatments which takes time and you need to be patient. Before applying anything on face especially for sensitive skin, please do not forget to do a patch test on the hand.

So, see you after one week and in the meantime, do visit to check on updates... <3
