Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner Turquoise Blue Review, Swatches & EOTDs:

Color liners attract me the most, there are amazing ranges of lovely pigmented color pencil liners available at the market. But I have never used any liquid color eye liner, ever! While shopping online, a few months back, I saw Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner Blue was on offer and I availed it. So, today I am going to review about this color liquid eye liner.

Price & Quantity: Rs. 225 for 3 g.

Shelf Life: 3 years.

Ingredients:

My Experience with Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner Turquoise Blue:

Packaging: This liquid liner comes in a small, sleek and slim bottle with an applicator built in the long cap handle. The brush applicator is of medium thickness and in height, long. The brush is very soft and easy to work with. Overall the packaging is travel friendly and easy to carry around.

Texture & Pigmentation: The liquid liner is slightly glittery (barely there), with a glossy finish. I am sadly not happy with the pigmentation, as it takes almost 6-7 swipes on the lids in order to get the pigmentation evenly and nicely. It provides a glossy and satin finish to the eyes.

Shade: This shade is turquoise shade indeed but I wish it was more on the darker side. I have medium Indian skin tone, and I am not at all comfortable using this eye liner like regular eye liner, it looks like I have applied a glow in the dark eye liner or something! But, using this eye liner tactfully and creatively gives a very nice look!

Staying power: The staying power of this eyeliner is quite good actually. Once it is completely dry, though it feels quite stretchy on the lids, but still it stays intact at least for 5-6 hours. Why not after that? Well, since it feels stretchy, I tend to touch it and touching results in peeled off. Yes, I said, peeled off, it does come off as some sort of peel of mask or dried fevicol!

The Good Points:
  • The texture is quite good.
  • Good staying power.
  • Affordable.
  • Lovely turquoise shade.
  • Glossy finish.
  • Shimmery but, very mildly.
  • Useful packaging with a soft applicator brush.

The Not-so-Good Points:
  • Comes off as peeling.
  • Shade might not suit dark skin tone.

On My Eyes:

My Rating: 3/5.

Overall Verdict: Are you crazy or creative and love to go out of the box with your high fashion look? Go for it then! It would not disappoint you as long as you are careful with it.
