Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate Kajal Review & Swatches:

Suddenly, I am realizing a good number of products from Lakme Absolute range is now reviewed here recently! That's cool, I guess. Anyways, I am reviewing Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate Kajal today, so stay tuned.

Product Description:

  • Increases Aesthetic Appeal
  • Moisturising Ceramides
  • Water Resistant
  • Three in 1 Solution - Kohl, Smudger and Sharpener
  • Super Long Wear
  • Does not Cause Irritation

Price & Quantity: Rs. 700 for 1.2 g.

My Experience with Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate Kajal:

Packaging: Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate Kajal has sumdger and a cap. But it is not a twist up pen, nor has sharpener in it. Now, I have seen this same product in online sites where there are pictures of this product with a sharpener in the cap itself, but it is missing in mine! So, I asked SA in the Lakme counter about this and she told me after getting lot of complaints about the sharpening of the kajal, Lakme decided to changed it. Now, it costs Rs. 700 and I am stuck!

Also, I do not like the smudger, which is actually a rubber kind of thing and I do not think it can be useful in any way!

Texture: The texture of this kajal is not dry at all, it is quite creamy and easy to glide on. It has a matte finish with rich creamy texture. The shade is pure jet black, no compromise there! I absolutely love the shade! Oh wait, it is from the Absolute range (Oh, clever Lakme)!

Pigmentation: Well what could I possibly say about the pigmentation! It is highly pigmented and all the swatch pictures are of one swipe of this kajal! One swipe of it gives the perfect pigmented and rich matte look. I could only imagine Mac smolder while thinking about it's pigmentation!

Can you believe, its just one swipe, ONE swipe!!!

Staying Power: It stays smudge-free forever! I mean, it never smudges or bleed or even fades during my wear for long hours. Even if I rub or touch my eyes, it does not smudge or gets off, how cool is that! That also means, if you are planning to do a smudgy look, good luck!
I guess, this is the reason why they provided a tire like rubbery smudger with it!
But none can ever deny the fact that it is the best kohl or kajal in this range!

The Good Points:

  • Superb pigmentation.
  • Does not smudges or fades.
  • Stays put and intact for the longest period of time.
  • Gives a matte finish.
  • Rich, creamy texture.
  • Easy to glide on.
  • Jet black shade.

The Not-so-Good Points:

  • Not a twist up pen.
  • Mine does not have sharpener, but some have.
  • Expensive.

My Rating: 4.6/5.

Recommendation: If you want the best kohl for any special occasion and don't wanna buy MAC Smolder, get this one! You will love the pigmentation, the superb staying power and beautiful jet black shade.
