LUX White Impress Body Wash Review:

I always prefer body washes/ gels over soaps. And, there might be a good amount of body washes that I have tried so far and I might not recall all the names also! Anyways, when I went to Big Bazaar last time, I was only browsing if anything could catch my eyes, and something did! I saw this LUX White Impress Body Wash and I added it to my cart; and today I am going to review it!

Product Description: Pour a petal size drop of this unique secret, and gently lather with a pouf. Indulge day after day, and discover precious, fairer and smoother skin- a treasure you never knew before.

Price & Quantity: Rs. 70 for 125g.

Instructions:

Ingredients:

Shelf Life: 30 months.

My Experience with LUX White Impress Body Wash:

Packaging: I loved the mini bottle packaging of this body wash which is very convenient for carrying. The white lovely bottle is very sturdy and has a flip cap on top. I got the loofah free with this body wash and it is very soft and dense.

Texture & Smell: This body wash is very rich and creamy yet not so thick in consistency. It has tiny red particles in it, which I could not feel but only see. The creamy texture gets spread on skin very well but, it lacks lathering foam. It requires only bit amount of water to lather well, and even after lathering it is very creamy and smooth, less foamy.

I love its smell, it has a lovely perfumed girly fragrance in it. It lingers on  my body and also in my bathroom for the longest time.

My Take: The best part of this body wash, other than its beautiful smell is its  main job i.e. cleaning. It cleans my skin very precisely and no oil or dirt stays after washing my body with it. Also, though it has very creamy texture and it lathers well, it also gets washed off very quickly. No slippery film or oiliness leaves behind once I stand under the shower, and everything gets washes off within 30 seconds. I mean, how useful it can be when I am in hurry!

There is no whitening of the skin after using this as regular basis but there is some visible changes. My skin became really soft and supple than before. The rough areas like around the knees or my legs and elbows become really soft and smooth which were not tamable no matter how much I would apply body oils or body butters. To know the core result, I stopped using body lotion on my legs, and after using this body wash for 2 weeks now, my skin has become very nice and velvety smooth even on the rough areas.
It leaves my skin with no oiliness or even extreme dryness though my semi-dry body skin feels just a tiny bit stretchy but for summer day, it feels okay.

The Good Points:

  • Rich and creamy.
  • Cleans well.
  • Washes off quickly without leaving a trace.
  • Does not leave skin super stretchy.
  • Smells very nice, perfumed.
  • Affordable price.
  • Easily available.
  • Makes skin soft and smooth after regular use.

The Not-so-Good Points:

  • No whitening effect.
  • Needs lotion after wash for extreme dry skin.

My Rating: 3.9/5.

Recommendation: If you have rough and semi-dry skin, you can try this body wash to work for smoothness. If you have non-dry skin, you can definitely try this body wash, it might not contribute in whitening the skin but it will surely make your skin soft, smooth and supple after regular use. You will also love the smell and creamy texture of this body wash.

Dove Beauty Moisture Face Wash Review:

Experimenting with various face washes and discovering which one to use when has become my hobby now and I should warn you that in future, you might see a lot of face washes reviews here. Anyways, my today's face wash review is of Dove Beauty Moisture Face Wash.

Product Description: Effectively cleanses while replenishing moisture deep down for beautiful conditioned skin. Contains NutriumMoisture, a nourishing beauty serum that replenishes skin from deep within giving it a beautiful bounce.

Price & Quantity: Rs. 90 for 50g.

Usage Direction: Mix a small amount with water in the palm of your hand and rub into lather. Massage gently onto wet skin. Rinse thoroughly. Use daily.

Ingredients:

Shelf Life: 2 years.

My Experience with Dove Beauty Moisture Face Wash:

Packaging: This face wash comes in a slim and chic medium size white tube with a blue flip cap at the bottom. The precise size of this face wash is very useful for carrying it in purse and also travel-friendly.

Texture & Smell: As other Dove face washes, this face wash also has this very rich and creamy thick consistency. The texture is very thick and thus while mixing with water, it lathers very well and creates a foamy texture.
It smells very nice, like a good perfume and it also has the refreshing smell in it.

My Take:
This face wash cleans my face very nicely, without leaving any traces of dirt or oil. It also cleans up oily kajal marks under eyes and sticky lip glosses. And, the most relieving part of this face wash is, no slippery film and washes off real quick.

After washing my face, the feeling is amazing, as there are no oil at all and also it does not make me skin dry. So, no stretchy or oily feeling, that is just perfect for summer days! I have combination skin with T-zone oily and after 4-5 hours though I feel problem areas become oily again.

It instantly brightens up my face and makes my face really soft and I cannot believe I am going to say 'bouncy'! Actually, there are only a few products that actually delivers the result they claim, and this face wash is maybe one of them. I love the after affect it leaves on my skin, soft, smooth and bouncy.

The Good Points:
  • Easily available.
  • Affordable.
  • Cleans very well.
  • No traces of dirt or oil after washing.
  • Lathers well.
  • No slippery film after wards.
  • Leaves skin really soft, smooth and bouncy.
  • Does not feel stretchy or dry after wash.
  • Keeps skin balanced in moisture.

The Not-so-Good Points:
  • Stings my eyes.

My Rating: 4.9/5.

My Recommendation: My combination-sensitive skin loves this face wash and also the after wash feeling when I do not need to rush to my moisturizer or cream. It keeps my skin well balanced in moisture and leaves it soft and smooth. This will be great for everyday use as well as for your to go face wash especially for summer days. Dry skin beauties may need a serum or gel at least after this.

My Summer ‘No-makeup’ Makeup Look:

want to look effortlessly beautiful all the time, even in sweaty summer day! Well, I do have high hopes, yet, a little effort and tricks can make huge difference! There are times I have been told, “red lipstick?!, why?”, “Oh, that is too much makeup”, and seriously, I do not blame anyone but myself. Looking like a doll and not wearing too much makeup can also be done.
So, as you can tell, today I am going to show you guys how I fake ‘not wearing makeup’ while wearing just a little.

Products I have Used:
  • Lakme CC Cream Bronze.
  • Avon Ideal Shade Pressed Powder.
  • Maybelline Colossal Kajal.
  • Lakme Eyeconic Curling Mascara.
  • Inglot Freedom System Rainbow Eyeshadow 107.
  • Inglot Freedom System Blush 30.
  • Oriflame Pure Color Lipstick Vintage Nude.

How I have Done My ‘No-makeup’ Makeup:

For face, I have used Lakme CC Cream Bronze as it blends very well with my natural skin tone. And, on top of it, I have lightly puffed pressed power to set the base
I have used Inglot Blush 30 which is a matte bronze shade and it works great for my contouring. I have used my ring finger to point exactly right in the curve of my cheeks and applied this blush very lightly. I did not want to make this contouring very prominent, as it might look ‘made up’.  I have also done slight contouring beside my nose.

And for eyes, I have lined my upper water- line with Maybelline Colossal Kajal. I have also lined a thin line on my upper and lower lash line. I have used a brown eyeliner pencil in my lower waterline, to make it look more natural. For eyeshadow, I used Inglot rainbow 107, which has three neutral and brown shades. I mixed the light shades and applied it on my lids.
Since, there is no prominent eye makeup, I needed to stress on the lashes, and I applied Lakme Eyeconic Curling Mascara on lashes with 2 coats. And, I also groomed my brows with brown eye liner pencil and dark brown eye shadow from the Inglot Rainbow 107.

Finally, I applied Oriflame Pure Color Lipstick Vintage Nude on my lips. This lipstick is a creamy lipstick in nude shade which seems perfect for ‘no-makeup’ look.

In summer days, we want to look our best and wearing minimal makeup makes it easy to carry it well in spite of all that sweating. With this look, I just need to dab a tissue on face to soak sweats and refresh my compact by slightly reapplying and I am done.

Hope you guys find this helpful and do share your thoughts below! Xoxo

8 Oriflame Pure Color Lipsticks Swatches:

I am totally a lipstick junkie, especially for budget-friendly brands. Oriflame has different ranges of lipsticks and among all, Pure Color range is my favorite. Till now, I have gathered 8 Oriflame Pure Color Lipsticks in my vanity and my target is to collect them all, may be someday!

Today, I am going to swatch these 8 shades and do a mini review on them all in case you are looking for budget-friendly good lipsticks.

Shades:

Oriflame Pure Color Intense Fabulous Fuchsia (30822)
Oriflame Pure Color Intense Cherry Compote (26655)
Oriflame Pure Color Intense Daring Berry (26657)
Oriflame Pure Color Blush Pink (26270)
Oriflame Pure Color Bright Red (26271)
Oriflame Pure Color Coral Rose (21141)
Oriflame Pure Color Vintage Rose (23546)
Oriflame Pure Color Vintage Nude (21155)

Oriflame Pure Color Intense Lipsticks:

These lipsticks are little bit more concentrated and pigmented than the usual Oriflame Pure Color range and that is the reason I love them. Fabulous fuchsia is a bright fuchsia shade with magenta undertones. This shade is not at all shocking or bright, it is quite dark in shade. and in my opinion, would look amazing on medium to fair skin tone. (Read full review here.)
Cherry Compote is a dark magenta shade with pinkish undertones. This shade is quite similar to Fabulous Fuchsia, expect this one has very little touch of pink. This is a dark winter-shade, and not many can pull this shade off.

Daring Berry shade is a lovely shade of MLBB, but a bit darker. It is a mauve shade with brown bases. This shade will suit probably each skin tones and this one is one of my favorite! (Read full review here)

Oriflame Pure Color Lipsticks:

I love bright pink lipsticks, and Blush Pink is one of them. It has a lovely pink shade with balmy texture to keep lips moisturized. This shade will suit all skin tones, as it has very soft and neutral tone to it. (Read full review here)

Bright Red is totally my type of shades, as it is bright red and yet not too popping or shocking. It has coral undertones, yet very wearable for medium to fair skin tones.
Coral Rose is slightly shimmery, coral-ish neutral shade. I know, I have made it very complicated, let me explain. This is a coral lipstick with mild shimmers and the coral is not at all orange, it has a rose or neutral tone in it. This is a perfect lipstick for casual wear for all skin tones.
Vintage Rose and Vintage Nude are quite similar, the first one is pinkish neutral shade and the later is pure creamy neutral shade. Both is very wearable and suitable for Indian skin tone. (Read full review here)

What To Like:
I love the purely pigmented formula of these lipsticks.
These lipsticks are very soft and creamy to glide on.
It keeps the lips balanced in moisture for long time.
Very budget-friendly.
Easy to carry around, even in pockets or small purses.

What Could Have Been Better:
I would prefer a long-lasting formula, it stays for only 4-5 hours.

Bright Summer Nails Nail Art Tutorial:

Although calling these nail paints only bright would be a mistake as they are actually neon shades. I was instantly drawn to buy these two shades when I laid my glance at it and until I came home and already posted pictures of the nail shades I did not notice how it would look on me! I am not as fair as Kareena Kapoor or even as pale as Edward Cullen! Anyway, I liked these shades and no thought of embarrassment could stop me from applying these on my nails! So, as usual, I am here with neon nails nail art tutorial!

Things You Need:

  • Two neon shade nail paints. (nail art bottle not necessary)
  • Black nail paint/ nail art bottle.
  • Top coat nail paint.
  • Remover & Q-tip.

Bright Summer Nails Nail Art Step by Step Tutorial:

First, clean your nails.

Now, take one neon shade nail paint and start applying it from the roots of your nails and stop right in the middle. Now, you do not need to be precise or clear cut in this step, as being inaccurate would look more artistic!
I have used a bright pink neon shade in this step, you can choose any shade.

Now, take the other neon shade and very carefully fill up the rest of your nails. Since, we did not have a clear cut ending line in the previous step, the second neon shade should also be filled that way.

While the nail paints are drying, remove the excess from the area around your nails with Q-tips soaked in remover.

Then, take the black nail art bottle and start putting dots on all over the nails. If you do not have nail art bottle, you can do the same with a bobby pin dipped in the black nail paint.

When done, let it dry and after 5 minutes, apply top coat. Done.

How easy it was? I know, a kid also can do it, right! That's my style...
I have always been intrigued by nail arts and it felt like pain not being able to do it. So, to accomplish this fine art, I started doing applying my own tricks, which makes it really easy and very doable for all.

This summer, go neon and try this nail art and if you do, do not forget to let me know how beautifully you have done it!

Stay happy and stay stylish...xoxo
