I have problematic skin, I do not experiment with my skin care products a lot. But, The Body Shop Tea Tree range somehow influenced me to use it. I recently reviewed The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Cleanser and today I will be reviewing the toner from this range.
Product Description: Sweeps away the traces of impurities for clearer looking skin. Leaves skin looking mattifyied. Infused with tamanu oil. Suitable for blemished skin.
With white willow bark, lemon tea tree oil and Community Fair Trade organic tea tree oil.
Price & Quantity: Rs. 795 for 250 ml.
Directions to Use: Shake well to activate. Apply to a cotton ball and sweep over face and neck.
Shelf Life: 3 years.
Packaging: The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner comes in a medium size fat bottle. It has a screw cap with a flip open lid. The bottle is quite heavy, though it is spill-proof but somehow I need to be very careful while packing it for travelling.
Texture & Smell: The liquid is thin like water. It has a bit greenish tone to it. It smells exactly like tea tree oil, as expected. Though the finish is not like water or thin. When applied on the face with cotton ball, it serves a coating on the face which I like (some toners are just like applying water on face).
My Thoughts: I have combination skin with the T-zone oily, I do not have pimple-prone skin. But, as I have blemishes in parts, I opted for this Tea Tree range. I must say, I am seeing visible results in almost 3 weeks. My skin looks clearer, I have not faced pimples ever since I am using this Tea Tree range (not even in my pre-period days!) The blemishes or pigments are somewhat lighter than before.
The toner has quite a moisturizing effect on the skin, it does not dry out my skin. It does not sting or give burning sensation to my skin, which I experience with almost 90% of the toners. The texture of my skin has improved a lot after using this, it became smooth and really soft.
The Good Points:
My Rating: 4.7/5.
Overall View: If you have blemished or pigmented combination to oily or normal skin, give this a try and I believe you won't be disappointed. It sure helped me with my spots and pigments, and I am hooked on to it for life (or until I find a better one, which I think next to impossible for my moody-weird sensitive skin!).
