Lakme Absolute Moon-lit Highlighter Review & Swatches:

I love highlighters, they just happens to be the magical final touches to obtain that glamorous look. Today I will be reviewing Lakme Absolute Moon-lit Highlighter.

Product Details: Luxurious ultra pearlised Face Highlighter duo, with its micro-fine velvet pearls which melts into your skin for a natural luminous glow.

Price & Quantity: Rs. 600 for 9 g.

Shelf Life: 2 years.

My Experience with Lakme Absolute Moon-lit Highlighter:

Packaging: Well, most of the highlighters are presented in duo form which is very user friendly. The big round compact packaging is very sleek and portable though it is lacking any attraction. I think I am not wrong to expect a little more classy packaging from Lakme! And, also, no mirror or applicator brush!

Texture: I know I said I love highlighters but unfortunately, not this one! Why? Because and only because of its texture. It is way too much glittery! The finish is pearly with velvet touch, it does not hurt my skin to apply it, very smooth actually.

In the left, it is a pearl or vanilla shade with loads of glitters and in the right we have a bronze shade also with loads of glitters. I found the pearl shade little bit useful for highlighting but the bronze shade is not that useful for contouring either. And, I am not such a fan of sun-kissed look.

Pigmentation: The good thing is, it is highly pigmented. Also, it does not fall off easily and it stays in place for hours. So, there is no complaining about its pigmentation or staying power.

Final Verdict: If you like party looks and have no problem with glitters, then you might like it. But, if you are like me, happy with little bit of highlighting, then skip it.

The Good Points:
  • Decent pricing.
  • Very nice pigmentation.
  • Staying power is also very good.
  • Does not fall off or fade.
  • Huge amount of product, requires only a bit.
  • Can be done highlighting and bronzing.

The Not-so-Good Point:
  • Lots of glitters.
  • Cannot do contouring with it.
  • Packaging is a little off, no mirror or applicator.

My Rating: 3/5.
