Lord & Berry Flat Lip Liner & Color Pencil Rouge Review, Swatches & LOTDs

Subh Dhanteras everyone!

Honestly I am not fond of lip liners, I don't see what difference they do! But, last month, I received Lord & Berry Flat Lip Liner & Color Pencil in Rouge from Vellvette Box. And though I was less excited about this product, somehow only one time application changed my opinion. Now, lets get to the details.

Shade Reviewed: Rouge.

Shades Available: Rouge, Claret, Natural, Mauve, Baby Pink.

Price: INR 990.

How To Use: First, sharpen the lip pencil for optimal use. Close mouth and line around the lips until desired contrast is achieved, follow with complementary lip color.

My Experience with Lord & Berry Flat Lip Liner & Color Pencil Rouge:

Packaging: This lip pencil is different, because its flat! First time I have seen a flat lip pencil! Anyways, the body looks pretty chic and nice, the cap is also quite well. But my only problem is how do I sharpen this? May be with a blade or pocket knife, I guess.

Texture: The lip pencil is super pigmented, no less than any high end lipstick. One swipe gives a natural color, but more than one swipe provides the accurate shade. I like red lipsticks of any shade, and this one is somewhat brick red.

It also has micro glitters, which are only visible with closer inspection. The finish of this lipstick is matte (Yay!). Though it is not at all drying, the texture is quite creamy which makes it easy to glide on the lips.

Staying Power: I have wore it for maximum 5-6 hours, and in between I found no fading or settlement
of it in the fine lines. Though it did not survive my eating sessions.

My Take: As I said earlier, I never liked lip pencils, but this really broke my conception. Firstly, I loved the high pigmentation, the superb quality and the finish also. Now, I see why girls go gaga over lip pencils.
The other things that I really liked in this product is its shape, flat pencils give a nice grip and chic look. I guess, this one pencil will last forever, as it only needs 5-6 swipes to apply on whole of my quite plumped lips.

LOTDs:

The Good Points:

  1. High quality product.
  2. Superb pigmentation.
  3. Stays for a long time.
  4. Does not fade or settles in fine lines.
  5. Lovely shade.
  6. Can be worn as lipstick also.
  7. Nice matte finish.

The Not-so-Good Points:

  1. Expensive.
  2. No inbuilt sharpener!

My Rating: 4.9/5.
