Dove Go Fresh Face Wash Review:

Packaging Texture & Smell : Dove Go Fresh Face Wash comes in a sleek, quite long tube packaging with a flip cap at the bottom. The tube is off white in color and the cap is orange. Packaging of this product, in my opinion is quite good and hygienic.

The texture of this face wash is quite thick and silky. It is creamy in consistency and lathers pretty well. The smell of this face wash is amazing. Like it is described by the brand, it has nice orange smell.

My Experience: When Dove first launched their face wash range, I was quite excited to try it out but somehow I was so satisfied with my own face wash that I never wanted to change it. But, last week I thought I could try it out once and I bought it. The already great reputation of Dove Soap is still alive In my mind and when I first tried this I was very happy.

The Dove Go Fresh Face Wash is purely for oily skin, it is also said in the description. The silk type thick cream lathers pretty well and washes off face very smoothly. The good part is it does not leave slippery feel after washing. It cleans face squeaky and fresh. But my only struggle is that it stings and hurt my eyes badly! It made me remind my childhood days, these days no face washes are like this anymore. Dove, you could do better! :P

I have combination skin, normal skin with T-zone oily and after washing with Dove Go Fresh Face Wash, my face feels perfectly balanced in moisture, yet no traces of oil. It stays oil-free for more than 5-6 hours at best which is quite enough for me.

The After Effect: Dove Go Fresh Face Wash never caused me any break outs or irritations or anything apart from great eye stinging! :P

Overall, it controls oil very well, which is very much essential for me, and also it is a good quality brand to rely on. So, I love it!

The Good Points:
  • Great quality.
  • Affordable pricing.
  • Very effective for oily skin.
  • Controls oil for long hours.
  • No slippery feel while washing off.
  • Cleans face squeaky.
  • No PARABEN! (*happydance*)

The Not-So-Good Points:
  • It hurts eyes badly!

My Rating: 4.6/5.

Do I Recommend Dove Go Fresh Face Wash?
Yes, if you have super oily skin, you must try it.

Would I Repurchase?
Yes, perhaps!

Oriflame Goodies Haul:

Hey Friends!
I am back with another haul post, and all thanks to my dear friend Swati who has managed to save the most demanded products just for me! Love you dear..

Anyways, as I am in my beginners stage with this whole eye make thing, I wanted some really nice eyeshadows. And lips products from Oriflame are always my favorite! So, let us see what I got here today.

Product List:

  • Oriflame Beauty Perfecting Face Primer.
  • Oriflame Beauty Whitening Powder Foundation.
  • Oriflame Beauty Perfect Blush.
  • Oriflame Beauty Very Me Eye Envy Cocoa Glaze.
  • Oriflame Beauty Color Pro Eye Shadow Trio Royal Blue.
  • Oriflame Beauty Triple Core Lipstick.
  • Oriflame Beauty Wonder Balm.

This will be my first primer, I never felt the urge to use it in my makeup, but after reading and learning a lot about makeup made me think, I should get one too. I have previously used two other power compacts from Oriflame before and they never gave me a chance to complain, so hoping this one will do the same too! :P

I am very much excited and curious to try these goodies! Hope they turn out as good as they always have been in my experience!

So, that's it for today! I will be back with a review tomorrow, until then take care! XOXO

Oriflame Very Me Peach Me Perfect Skin Glow Review, Swatches & FOTD:

Hello everyone!
I am a bit Oriflame Cosmetics fan for a while now; I think they provide quality products which is no less than any other expensive brand. So, today I am here with a foundation from Oriflame’s Very Me range, i.e. Oriflame Very Me Peach Me Perfect Skin Glow. Now, let us look at the details of this product.

Product Description: Bring out the best in your complexion. Tinted gel moisturizer with a lightweight finish gives you a peachy, natural glow. Can be worn alone or with your favorite foundation.

Oriflame Code No: 20529

Shelf Life: 3 years.

My Experience with Oriflame Very Me Peach Me Perfect Skin Glow:

Packaging & Texture:
Oriflame Very Me Peach Me Perfect Skin Glow comes in a small and cute tube with a screw cap at the bottom. The black and orange color combination of the tube is quite attractive and trendy.

The texture of it is not at all gel-like as described by the brand; it is thick and creamy. It is also very easy to apply and spread on the skin. The smell is very pleasant; most of the Oriflame Cosmetics have the similar smell. I have this in the light shade, though I have yellowish medium skin; this shade seems to suit my skin tone. But, I still think this shade is for fair skin tone.

My Experience:
I have recently tried many foundations and tinted moisturizers; I bought them all quite close to my skin tone or little bit warmer. But, this shade really attracted me and I thought of giving it a try. Luckily I am in good luck that it does not make me a white ghost!

The first thing I notice about it is it gives a very smooth coating after application. It also leaves a shine, not oily though. Some of you might not like the shine, but I like it. When I apply foundation and compact, the natural glows of my skin stays hidden; but call me crazy, with Very Me Peach Me Perfect Skin Glow I feel like it reflects that natural glow.

This tinted moisturizer gives a nice coverage, only a pea-size of this amount does the work. It hides all the acne spots pretty well. I really like the rich, creamy and smooth finish it gives. But the one glitch in my mind about this is it has shimmers. Though the shimmers are not too much visible on the skin but, after removing, it leaves its traces.

The After Effect:
The staying power of this tinted moisturizer is quite well, it never wears off. It even survives my heavy sweating (I dab my sweat with tissue) in summer days. It controls oil up to 3 hours; I have normal skin with oily T-zone. Also, it does not clog pores, meaning no acne parade afterwards (YAY!).

The Good Points:
  • Nice quality brand.
  • Gives nice coverage.
  • Gives smooth and glowing look.
  • Can be worn alone.
  • Only a pea-size amount is needed every time.
  • Spreads on the skin very well.
  • Fairly priced.
The Not-So-Good Points:
  • It has shimmers.
  • No SPF.
  • Contains PARABEN.
  • Does not control oil for long hours.
Final Verdict:

I like Oriflame Very Me Peach Me Perfect Skin Glow, but the shimmers were unwanted. It gives a very rich, smooth and glowing look and no other foundation is needed after this, not even compact (to retain the glowing look). I wear this both for my day and night wear. Though this particular shade might be apt for fair skin tone, I guess I will suit whitish medium skin tone also. My final verdict is I love this small yet trendy little tinted moisturizer.

My Rating: 4.5/5.

August 2013 Vellvette Box/Bag:

Hey Friends!
August 2013 Vellvette theme was ‘Ticket to Hollywood’, and as per the letter to me, Vellvette provided such brands that are inspired by Hollywood Divas. So, let us see what was inside my Vellvette Bag.

Goodies Inside My Vellvette Bag August 2013:

  • H2O Face Oasis Shine Neutralizing Gel.
  • Sally Hansen Lip Plumper- Pink Berry.
  • Just Herbs Advanced Pimple Treatment Kit.

Unlike last month’s Vellvette Box, this time only one product is full sized, i.e. Sally Hansen Lip Plumper. The H2O face gel is a tiny tube containing the product only 8ml sample size. Also, the Just Herbs Pimple Treatment Kit contains three different products of 20g sample size.
The Sally Hansen Lip Plumper- Pink Berry is what I will surely be using, who does not want lips like Angelina Jolie! :P And, I always wanted to try the Just Herbs products, and Vellvette got me the chance to try them out. So, I am curious to try that Pimple Treatment Kit. The H2O Face Oasis Shine Neutralizing Gel is said to apply before putting on makeup to make it shine-free; but the 8ml tube would hardly survive one or two application.

Am I Happy With August 2013 Vellvette Box (Bag)?
Well, as I said earlier, I am really happy to get that lip plumper and also the Just Herbs Pimple Treatment Kit. Moreover, I liked the bag itself, I am really happy to get this bag as it will be very helpful (no particular amount of makeup pouches are satisfactory to me! :P). So, I guess my this month’s INR 499 does worth it.

September 2013 Vellvette theme is their Anniversary, so pretty excited about the goodies. For those who has not yet booked September 2013 Vellvette Box, I would like to let you know, it’s a pink Vellvette Bag this September! I won’t miss it!

Elle 18 Color Pops Pomegranate Pie Review, Swatches & LOTD:

Hey Friends!
A few days ago I reviewed a nice coral lipstick, Coral Romance from Elle 18 Color Pops range, and today I am going to review Elle 18 Color Pops Pomegranate Pie. Lipstick shades that are slightly different than our original lip shades look the best for daily wear, especially for official purposes where we cannot show off our bright siren red or fuchsia lipsticks. So, now let’s move on to the details of the lipstick.
Product Description:Elle18 Color Pops add a blast of colour on your lips to dress you up for any occasion. With colours and shades that can match different coloured attires, these color pops come with integrated lip balm that gently moisturises the lips and keeps them supple.

Price & quantity: INR 100 for 4.3 ml.
Key Ingredients: Cocoa Butter.

Shade No: Elle 18 Color Pops 08 (Pomegranate Pie).

Shelf Life: 30 months.

My Take on Elle 18 Color Pops Pomegranate Pie:

Packaging & Texture: Elle 18 Color Pops Lipsticks comes in a very small and trendy black packaging. The bullet is quite sturdy but the smell of it is quite strange. It does not smell nice or pleasant.

My Experience: I have read a lot of reviews of this particular shade and I kind of grew strong interest to own this. Anyways, I bought it and I was in good luck that the bullet was not broken; it was perfectly sturdy. Unlike the Coral Romance, it was bit creamier and it was easy to glide on evenly. One swipe gets the perfect color, so 2-3 swipes do the job for me.
This shade is very sober and soft, best for daily day wear. The staying power of it is average; after 3-4 hours it needs reapplication. Also it does not really cooperate with my eating sessions. The creamy texture helps to prevent the pigments from settling into fine lines.
I like this MLBB shades so much, that I am ready to continue this lipstick for a really long time. It is very pocket friendly for daily wear. I have medium skin tone, and it suits me perfectly; and I also think I will suit every skin tone from fair to dusky.
The After Effect: It never dries off my lips or causes chapped lips. In INR 100 range, Elle 18 Color Pops has a great quality to present. I loved the shade as well as the packaging also. Overall, it gets my thumbs up!
The Good Points:
  1. Good brand.
  2. Affordable price.
  3. Trendy packaging.
  4. Sturdy bullet.
  5. Proper color.
  6. Keeps lips in moisture.
  7. Glides on smoothly and evenly.
  8. Suitable for all skin tone.

The Not-So-Good Points:
  1. Staying power could be better.
My Rating:4.5/5.

Do I Recommend Elle 18 Color Pops Pomegranate Pie?
Yes. I will suit all skin tone and it is a great daily wear lipstick.

Would I Repurchase?
Yes!

Tri-color Nail Art with Love Clouds: Tutorial

Hey Friends!
This will be my first nail art here although not my first attempt. I have doing or I rather say trying nail arts since more than two years and coming up with different ideas every time can be little engaging. But, I was in fun mood today and wanted to some fun nail art. So, here is my Tri-color Nail Art with Love Clouds.
Things You Will Need:
  • Two bright color nail paints (I have used yellow and blue here).
  • Red nail paint.
  • Top coat nail paint.
  • Tape.
  • Nail paint remover.
  • Q-tip.
  • Nail art dotting tool or any dotting tool.

Tri-color Nail Art with Love Clouds Tutorial:

Step 1: First clean up your nails if any leftover nail paints there.
Step 2: Then cut the tape in thin strips according to your nail size. I have medium length nails, so I cut 1cm strips. If your nails are longer, you can cut 1 and half cm. Now, carefully place the strips on your nails in 45 degree angle.
Step 3: Once you cover all your nails, pick one nail paint that will go on the top of your nails. I chose yellow; since your nails are covered with tapes, you need not worry about neat and clean application.
Step 4: Then take the other bright color nail paint and apply it on the blank area of your nails at the bottom.

Step 5: Now, the fun job, take off the tapes. I love to see those straight lines under the tapes. But be careful while doing it.
Step 6: Take red color nail paint and your dotting tool, draw 3-4 hearts in different sizes on the blank area of your nails. Fill all that area with big and tiny hearts which will look like love clouds. While drying it off, clean up if there is any mess around your nails with a q-tip or ear bud soaked in nail paint remover.
Step 7: Finally, after drying, apply top coat. And, your nail art is done.
This is a fun nail art that I am comfortable wearing daily and it’s not possible to not receive compliments from others. I hope you guys like it, and please share your views. XOXO
